From Magnificent to Miserable

OK...maybe it's not that bad...but it's pouring rain in Seward. The day started out with magnificent views of the mountain. We drove about 230 miles south (through Wasilla and Anchorage) to Seward. It started really clouding up and misting around Anchorage. It was SUPER windy driving down the Seward Hwy. A few times the rig got blown over the center line. Eric was a super driver and we arrived safely. We are supposed to get up early for the Kenai Fjords boat tour tomorrow. If the weather is crappy then we are going to cancel and try again later in the day or on Friday. We joined up with our friends that we met in Talkeetna.

We loved the Kenai Fjords tour. The boat stopped on the way out and picked up salmon for dinner on board and then we had a great trip. Dinner was good too. The captain knew all the right spots to go to and pointed out all the sea life.... whales, dolphins, sea lions, tufted puffins..... you name it we saw it. Hope you get a good day for it because it is a great side trip.

We also enjoyed the Kenai Tour. What???? Rain???? It didn't rain ALL the time we were in Seward, but when it wasn't raining there was a heavy mist. When we left Seward and got close to Anchorage we started to see sun and we've had sun since then, even here in Valdez. I think if I lived in Seward, I'd develop a drinking problem.
