Dawson City, YT

Just a quick update tonight.

We drove 347 miles from Whitehorse to Dawson City today. Dawson City is gold mining territory. Eric took Parker out panning this evening, but they didn't find any. We met some RV bloggers, Linda & Bob from Because We Can II. It was fun to chat with them! I also met Rae who works here at Bonanza Gold. She was kind enough to save a spot for us with just an email contact. Since the internet is on the slow side we will have to wait a few days to upload pics and video. Tomorrow we are venturing into the Arctic Circle via the Dempster Hwy. Should be a very interesting, but long day!

Everytime I look at your Jeep it reminds us of Donna's, she literally wore it out, with over 200.000 miles on it before we traded it in, that straight six was great, she traded it for an Escape because they quit making the Cherokee, and it isn't half the car the Jeep was. That baby would go anywhere you had the guts to point it. We follow Rae"s blog too, say hi for us. Have fun and Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

Yes, it was great to meet you too. So glad you folks made it safely across the Top of the World Highway. We are heading out tomorrow. Sorry we missed you folks this morning, but wanted to get the morning city tour at 9:30. Check out Bob's journal, as we saw you guys in line for the ferry and he took a photo. Safe travels!
